JCHS' Wood Named to National Youth Advisory Council
Jackson County High School senior Jamie Wood has been named the National Youth Advisory Council for The Kroger Company's Zero Hunger | Zero Waste environmental and social impact plan.
One of 15 students from throughout the nation selected, Wood will now lead a Community Impact Project this spring in Hoschton. As part of the project, Zero Hunger | Zero Waste will issue a micro-grant to collaborate with local nonprofits and support his impact project.
Students from throughout the nation are selected to the committee following an application process and demonstrating a commitment to investing time to tackle issues such as hunger, climate and responsible consumption and recycling.
