JCSS Announces 68 Students Receive A Score of 5 on AP Exams

The Jackson County School System saw 68 students between both East Jackson High School and Jackson County High School earn a perfect score of 5 during the Advanced Placement Exams held during the end of the spring semester. With a score of five, students earn college credit for the course they tested in.
The students include, from East Jackson High School: Grecia Avellaneda-Castro, DeEric Burns, Courtney Cameron, Georgia Childers, Liam Cook, Triston Fielding, Leila Huss, Jacob Mayhue, Shane McAlister, Ahnyx Middlebrooks, Matthue Patterson, Duncan Porter, Collin Ramsey, Jackson Saucier, Andrew Saucier, Reese Sorrow, Jesse Stephens, Samuel Suarez, Diego Uribe, Charlie Wheeler, Selah Wheeler and Hudson Wilbanks.
From Jackson County High School: Kayla Boebel, Chloe Bradley, Christian Ted Breau, Ashton Bryant, Madison Carroll, Lily Casper, Lawson Choate, Colton Couch, Julia Crowthers, Alexa Cruz-Mata, Loralai Eager, Morgan Eldridge, Clayton Fairbank, Lydia Fairbank, Lilly Ferrell, Heber Garcia-Sanchez, Kendall Goetzman, Allyson Hanley, Lillian Hayes, Steven Herring, Riley Higgins, Avery Hughes, Alison Iancu, Lauren Iancu, Shawna Jones, Mark Kolyadich, Brielle Logan, Adelyn Lovejoy, Landin Maddox, Gannon Manthe, Ansley Norman, Kendis Parks, Phoenix Rabe, Logan Rider, Kaylee Roberts, Brayden Sabin, Syon Schlecht, Andrea Segraves, Alex Soto, Adam Thomas, Parker Todd, Nguyen Bao Ngoc Tran, Bartu Tunctan, Emma Wagner, Ella Weaver and Gabriel Wilson.
Additionally, eight students from Jackson County High School earned their International Baccalaureate Diploma during the May commencement ceremony. Those students who earn their IB Diploma earned college credit in at least six IB courses, conducted a creativity and service component, passed the IB Theory of Knowledge course and completed an extended essay, which can take up to two years to complete.
