Overview

National Honor Society

National Honor Society is an organization for high school students that promotes leadership, service, character, and scholarship. A National Honor Society member will be required to maintain a 95.0 GPA, participate in all monthly meetings, participate in all fundraising activities,  participate in one or more yearly service projects, document community service per month, and pay yearly dues. NHS members are required to uphold the four pillars of the club: Leadership, Service, Character, and Scholarship.

Students are selected their sophomore or junior year based on the four pillars stated above. Once identified, students must complete an application and be selected by the governing Faculty Council. If a student transfers from another school in which they were a member in good standing (documentation must be provided) in their National Honor Society chapter, they will automatically become a member of the JCHS NHS chapter, after letting the sponsor know they transferred from another NHS Chapter via email.
