Overview

Welcome to the JCHS Social Studies Department!

Social Studies is the study of the social sciences in order to lead students to become informed and responsible citizens.  Our curriculum includes the study of humankind from the geographical, political, historical, and social perspectives. Our courses adhere to the Georgia Standards of Excellence for regular courses, approaches to teaching and learning for International Baccalaureate Courses, and College Board requirements for advanced placement.  World History, U.S. History, Government, and Economics are required courses for graduation.
